ACEVic and Adult Learning Australia’s submission to the ‘Inquiry into Victoria’s criminal justice system’.
The focus of this submission is on strategies to reduce rates of criminal recidivism.
ACE organisations can help to reduce recidivism by supporting:
- incarcerated adults to build literacy, numeracy digital and employability skills through non-accredited education programs
- offenders exiting the criminal justice system, as well as those on parole or community corrections orders through targeted and supported education and training programs.
