To kick off 2013, ALA will host an online eBusiness Bootcamp aimed at administrators, managers, coordinators or those looking for new and innovative ways to save precious dollars in community environments.
The eBusiness bootcamp will include intensive workshops with expert facilitators, who can help you take full advantage of the online environment for operational purposes. A different topic will be covered each day for a week.
Join us for advice from our expert facilitators:
Day One
Christopher Drabsch – Daydream Graphics – will look at web design from a business perspective – from start to finish. He will provide tips around the things that clients should ask their designers (and vice versa) and provide a checklist of things to look out for.
Day Two
Catherine Devlin – Adult Learning Australia – will look at efficient ways of storing, sharing and backing up organisational files. She will discuss how traditional server storage is being challenged by cloud storage services such as DropBox.
Day Three
Social media expert, Kate vanderVoort, will show you how you can get involved with online communities using social media to help your organisation build relationships with members, stakeholders and supporters. Kate has worked on social media strategies and training for some of Australia’s largest corporates and not-for-profits.
Day Four
Tim Gentle – eBusiness specialist and Managing Director of Design Experts – will show us what’s involved in creating an online e-commerce website from populating, setting up the store and marketing.
Day Five
Sally Thompson – CEO Adult Learning Australia – will discuss customer relationship management (CRM) and crowdfunding in terms of methodologies, software and Web capabilities that can help you manage customer relationships effectively.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain some new perspectives on how to run your organisation.
