ALW Webinar – It’s only the beginning: Later life learning and career shifting

Thursday 8 September, 2011, at 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm AEST.

It is fitting that the third and final webinar in the Adult Learners’ Week 2011 series should focus on the ALW theme “It’s only the beginning:  Later life learning and career shifting” and that it should be presented by Greg Goudle, Executive Director of DOME Association Inc.  DOME (Don’t Overlook Mature Expertise) has provided employment services in the Adelaide area for mature age unemployed (over 40) since 1981 and in any one year assists approximately 400 people into employment.

Drawing on Greg’s background and expertise, this webinar will explore:

  • How hard or difficult is a ‘career shift for mature age?
  • What needs to be assessed to make the shift?
  • Why would people want/need to make a change?
  • What is the best process?
  • What are good assessment tools?
  • What experiences/stories do people have?

Please register before Friday 2 September to ensure availability of a place.

We use Elluminate web conferencing technology for our webinars and you will require a internet-connected computer with speakers and headsets. Help files for elluminate over here.
