ALA workshop: Validation of ACSF assessment resources

Presenter: Philippa McLean
When: Wednesday 20th October @ 1pm AEDT
Duration: 1 hr
Cost: Free for members who are part of the LLN Network. $50 for non-network members.

This webinar is for adult language, literacy and numeracy practitioners to come together and look at aspects of quality language, literacy and numeracy assessment. It provides an excellent opportunity to gain external validation of tasks mapped to the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF).

About the ACSF

The ACSF provides a validated framework of national benchmarks for the identification and description of core skill performance for adult language, literacy and numeracy in Australia.

The structure for this webinar involves participants sharing one small assessment task or strategy for the group to validate. If you are willing to share an assessment task or strategy, please provide:

  • an assessment task or strategy
  • the ACSF level
  • the ACSF core skill.

For these sessions to be successful, it is really important to share your learning and assessment strategies, which should be emailed to Adult Learning Australia five (5) days prior to the event.

If you would prefer to keep your assessments anonymous within the session, just let us know. Assessments should be emailed to ALA’s Membership Officer ASAP.
