ALA Webinar: Skills for Sustainability – What the Gen Green 4 Australia study tells us.

Skills for Sustainability – demand and supply.

What the Gen Green 4 Australia study tells us.

In this webinar, Dr Fabian Sack, one of the authors of the Gen Green 4 Australia study, will share its findings.

Gen Green 4 Australia is a recently completed national study of over 1,000 apprentices, trainees and their teachers, which has examined the demand for, and supply of skills for ‘social, economic and environmental’ sustainability. The study was funded by government and conducted by Sustainably Pty Ltd in partnership with World Skills Australia, gathering data from 18 vocational training locations across Australia.

This is a great opportunity to hear about the unique insights offered by the primary consumers of Australian vocational training services into sustainability values, behaviours, learning and teaching.

The outcomes of Gen Green 4 Australia will have important implications for the design of future skills for sustainability programs.

Dr Sack is Director at Sustainability Pty Ltd and has been a thought leader in corporate governance and sustainability over 18 years. His area of special interest is social sustainability and in addition to his published works on ecological footprinting and skills for sustainability, he has also designed and delivered a number of innovative vocational learning programs on sustainability.
