Publishing
ALA has published the Australian Journal of Adult Learning (AJAL) for 65 years; a respected, peer-reviewed journal recognised nationally and internationally and Australia’s leading journal on adult education. The journal supports critical thinking and showcases national and international research, theory and practice in adult and community education. Read the Journal.
ALA publishes Quest magazine three times a year. Quest is a digital publication that showcases inspiring stories, sector news, policy updates, innovative programs, and research in adult and community education across Australia. ALA provides high quality professional development for the ACE sector and adult education providers. ALA provides administrative and bookkeeping support for some small not-for-profit organisations in the adult and community education sector. Our team offers reliable, sector-informed services that help providers focus on delivering education and community programs.

ALA is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) through two entities:
- Adult Learning Australia (ALA) Ltd
- Adult Learning Australia (ALA) Foundation (trading as Learning Changes Lives), which has Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status.
