
This session will explore practical strategies for strengthening Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills in adult learners across Australia. Facilitated by Liz Bonner, an experienced educator with a background in science, instructional design and community engagement, the event will highlight effective ways to engage diverse groups of learners, including adults with disabilities and special needs.
Drawing on her VET Fellowship with the International Specialised Skills Institute, Liz will share insights into place-making as a tool for creating stronger learning and employment outcomes within communities. Participants will walk away with actionable approaches, fresh perspectives, and inclusive practices that can be applied in classrooms, training settings and community learning environments nationwide.

Liz is the CEO at Cloverdale Community Centre and was a 2018 International Specialised Skills Institute Fellow.
Liz has a demonstrated history of working in community and education management industry. She is skilled in non-profit organisations and instructional design and has undertaken a VET Fellowship with the International Specialised Skills Institute focusing on place making for better community learning and employment outcomes.
Liz uses her science background to help learners understand the literacy of self.
