Broadband for Seniors Community Space

We invite you to share and have input into the planned community space for BFS volunteer tutors. This community can now be accessed by visiting www.necseniors.net.au and clicking on the ‘Online Community’ button. The BFS Volunteer Tutor Community has already been established and it is easy to register yourself as a user and a member of this Community.

Michael has a vast experience across all aspects of online learning and a particular interest in the establishment of online communities. Michael will facilitate discussions on how this space can be established and what are some of the tools we should focus on in creating a space of interest and benefit to all BFS volunteer tutors. After the Elluminate Session we plan to conduct a forum discussion using the BFS Volunteer Tutor Community so we do encourage you all to ‘join up’ as soon as possible by visiting the online community space.

Michael Chalk has worked for many years in the ACE sector (adult community education), as a

teacher (adult literacy and English as a second language)
writer, editor and publisher (newsletter, web sites)
online facilitator, e-mentor and flexible learning co-ordinator.

He has worked on a number of state and national projects including Community Engagement (with Adult Learning Australia), AccessACE (Victorian ACFE) and e-learning innovations (Australian Flexible Learning Framework) such as “Can you hear us?”. More information at http://michalk.id.au/.
