Broadband For Seniors – “Let’s learn about Skype”

This session will be of interest to Broadband for Senior’s volunteer tutors who are interested in accessing Skype to communicate via call or video with family members and how you might introduce this feature to your BFS senior community who are learning about ICT. This session will assist with setting up new client accounts, running Skype for a call or a video, finding other family members and logging off as user.

Ian is currently a volunteer tutor at the Kangaroo Flat Senior Citizen’s Centre Broadband for Seniors Kiosk undertaking voluntary work from 10-4pm Monday to Friday. He has a background as a primary school teacher in WA & Vic, a life essentials coach, an information technology trainer and laughter yoga instructor. He has worked with dyslexia-speld and gifted and talented students. He loves mind mapping, Howard Gardner’s 9 forms of Intelligence and Edward DeBono’s 6 thinking Hats. He has completed Cert IV Assessment and Workplace Training, Cert IV Employment Services and Cert III in Information Technology. Ian will be assisted by Peter Land who is also a volunteer tutor at the Kangaroo Flat Senior Citizen’s Centre Broadband for Seniors Kiosk.
