ALA Webinar: Business Models for Community Organisations

Robyn Logan imageIn an era of tightening government budgets, many community- based organisations are looking at ways to develop independent revenue streams to support their other work. However, the social enterprise path is littered with examples of poorly planned business ideas that end up costing community organisations money instead of making them money.

In this workshop you will learn about the principles of business model design and the key questions you need to determine up front.

Robyn Logan is the founding director of International Coach Academy (ICA), a global coach training school with students in more than 40 countries. She also operates a successful multimedia and business planning consultancy; Logan Strategic. Her clients include arts-based not-for-profits, universities and training institutions, peak bodies and multinational companies such as Holden and Kodak. Prior to founding ICA, she spent more than 10 years in education and training in both teaching and leadership roles including managing an Adult and Community Education provider.

You will leave this workshop knowing which business models work and which ones don’t. You will also learn the top 3 reasons small business fail BEFORE they even start selling.

This FREE event is for ALA Members (Individual and Organisational) and staff of Organisational members (Associate members)
