‘Before I go any further into this story, I have to tell you I was a loner, I had no real friends I could go out with and have a good time, I was very shy and could not talk with people without stuttering or rolling my words together. I think that was due to my childhood but that is another story to tell. 2006 I started to attend Lismore TAFE as a 71 year old student, I stumbled and fumbled my way through the first year, adjusting to life with a lot of strangers and making new friends and learning to communicate with people of different cultures.’
