There is a great new role as SEE First Nations Program Coordinator with the Gur A Baradharaw Kod Torres Strait Sea and Land Council Torres Strait Islander and Aboriginal Corporation (“GBK”).
Established in 2012 as the peak body of all Registered Native Title Bodies Corporates (“PBCs”) in the Torres & Endeavour Straits. GBK works together with the PBCs in the Cairns and far north Queensland region to provide support to local Native Title Holders and with key stakeholders to promote economic, social, and cultural development.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager – Employment Services, the SEE First Nations Program Coordinator will lead the establishment and delivery of the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) First Nations Program.
This newly created role will coordinate five regional learning hubs and mobile outreach services, working closely with Traditional Owners, communities, employers and training providers to co-design and deliver culturally safe learning programs focused on literacy, numeracy and digital skills.
