Ros Bauer 


Ros Bauer has extensive experience in adult education as a language literacy numeracy practitioner. She was the winner of the 2013 Australian Training Awards Excellence in Adult Language Literacy and Numeracy Practice and a recipient of an Executive Fellowship through the Australian Endeavour Awards that included a professional learning experience in Scandinavia. Ros has worked as part of the NT LLN Network Group and an educational consultant to the Warlpiri Youth Development Aboriginal Corporation. She is currently Head of Department – Career Pathways, Aboriginal Languages & Employability Skills at TAFE NSW.

 
 

Isabel Osuna-Gatty


Isabel received the 2016 Australian Training Awards’ Excellence in Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Practice. She has developed and implemented several local, state, and commonwealth-funded projects to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, people with disabilities, and individuals from multicultural backgrounds.

Currently, Isabel works as a Mental Health Practitioner in private practice and is involved in various community-based projects aimed at improving lifelong learning, mental health, and wellbeing in multicultural and Aboriginal communities, as well as for people with disabilities. Additionally, she participates in literacy projects with RaPAL (Research and Practice in Adult Literacies), the only UK-wide organisation that focuses on the role of literacies in adult life. She also serves as a Board Member of the South Australian Social Workers’ Association and the SA Royal Life Saving Society.

 

 

Gemma Beall


Gemma was the winner of the 2024 Australian Training Awards’ Excellence in Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Practice.

Gemma is an energetic, creative and innovative vocational educator with more than 16 years’ experience in the provision of adult literacy and numeracy initiatives. She is currently employed at TAFE NSW as a Team Leader, Literacy (Sydney Region), where she leads foundation skills programs for all learners across the region.

 

 

 

Kathrin Colgan


Kathrin received the 2017 Australian Training Awards’ Excellence in Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Practice.

Kathrin has spent over 25 years in Foundation Education, starting in EAL and across CGEA by working in TAFE, community and in Industry settings in the Workplace English Language Program and other diverse programs. This culminated in being awarded the Australian Training Award in Excellence in LLN Practice in 2017. Kathrin has also managed the VCE and the VM in a TAFE setting focusing on introducing an EAL focused delivery for adults before moving into Education Management in social inclusion and work education programs. Kathrin is currently the Head of Centre at Holmesglen English Language Centre and co-opted member of Australian Council of Adult Literacy (ACAL).
